Hmmm

Holed up at home for the second day, wondering if anything will come of the latest demonstrations in Bangkok. Another D-Day, another ultimatum, another day of reckoning come and gone. So far, causing traffic snarls seems to be the worst outcome of the reds' "siege" of the city.

The government seems to have the upper hand in this stand-off, allowing the movement of demonstrators, holding off on declaring a state of emergency, and staying put. The red shirt leaders are getting frustrated and/or desperate, announcing antics such as collecting protesters' blood to hurl at Government House and other symbolic buildings. For real?
