After leaving Massachusetts on Wednesday afternoon (EST), the cats arrived in Bangkok on Friday afternoon (Thai time) via New Hampshire, and Frankfurt, Germany. It took almost four hours to get the vet and customs clearance, and they arrived at my house on the back of an open pick-up - arrghhh! (Other than this, the relocaters were very professional.)
Both critters were extremely grouchy when we opened the crates. A nervous cat by nature, Maud went straight for the smallest, darkest space she could find (under the sink cabinets). Zachary strolled out of his crate to explore, and jumped on all the furniture. He yelled a lot, and didn't want to be picked up (he did get a big hug though, prompting M's allergies). :)
It's surreal they are finally here, and a relief they are relatively unscathed. Hopefully, the stress levels will subside in a couple of days. A million thanks to Tab who ran (literally!) to get all the paperwork sorted, faxed, mailed, scanned, e-mailed, approved, and bundled. You rock! You rock!
