Went to Cha-am beach a couple of weekends ago. Haven't been there in about ten years. The town is bustling and as such, almost unrecognizable. It's now accessible via wide, resort-lined highways. We buy local specialties off roadside stalls and shops, loading up on pineapple, lime, and sweets, passing on chicken boiled in fish sauce. Off the main roads, life slows. Cows graze under coconut trees and fishing boats quietly bobble in the Gulf at sunrise.
