H.M. the King left Siriraj Hospital today, without prior announcement. The motorcade passed our office around noon on its way back to the Palace.
The mood was clearly festive, charged with excitement. People eagerly ran outside upon learning the news via word of mouth. They waited for the motorcade, and watched intently and waved flags when it passed. Visibly thinner and wearing a pink jacket, the King appeared to be in good spirits, waving back.
Yup, delight and good cheer upon seeing the King have dictated the mood for the rest of everyone's day...
