Too smart

Lately N has become argumentative and stubborn, preceding many words with 'ไม่' ('no') such as ไม่กิน, ไม่ชิม, ไม่นอน, ไม่อาบน้ำ, ไม่ไป..., testing her limits. Tonight she ran around for an hour after her usual bedtime, asking for more stories, playing with her Playmobile figures, and climbing on the sofa. After nagging and cajoling (and a bribe of animal crackers), she finally agrees to go to bed. (Sigh.) It's past 10pm. Tucked in, she looks at me and says (for the first): 'Love you.'
